Summer reading programs will happen on Thursdays
10 am is for children ages 4-7 11:30 am is for children 8-12
July 12th – Summer Kick Off! Join Miss Amy, Miss Loraine and Adventure Climbing as we all scale the traveling rock wall right here at the library!! Please call to sign kids up. Adventure Climbing will be here from 10-2, with certified instructors to guide us safely up!
July 19th – We’ll be taking on some awesome Rock science! From rock candy, to geodes, to crystal growth, making sedimentary rocks and more! Come Rock with us!
July 26th – Join us for some Rock ball. We’ll meet in the amphitheatre and play some fun games with rocks. Rock checkers, rock badminton, and others. Stories and Rocks, what more could you want?
August 2nd – Have you ever wanted to be in a Rock Band? Here’s your chance! Come make instruments, and pose for an awesome photo-op and let your inner Rocker loose!
August 9th – Have you ever been stuck for a story idea? Well, this will help! We’ll be painting story rocks with pictures of things we like and then everyone will get a back to store their rocks in to take home!
August 16th – Join us for a picnic and a special performance by Maine musician, Rob Duquette, who will have us rockin’ in the park! We’ll read, rock out and eat to celebrate our finale. Prizes will be awarded!

Celebrate all things Fairy at the Camden Public Library with Miss Amy, Miss Loraine and some very special guests. Come in costume, build fairy houses, enjoy fairy stories and fairy crafts! We are thrilled to welcome author Liza Gardner Walsh of the Fairy House books, and Hazel Mitchell, illustrator of their newest book, “How do Fairies Have Fun in the Sun?”
Saturday, August 18th, 2018, 1-4 p.m. Join us as we celebrate the joys of children’s books and the writers and artists who bring them to life! Kids, parents, and lovers of children’s books can meet their favorite author, purchase their books, and have them personally signed.
